On January 10, 2022, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the Embassy of India in Berne hosted a virtual event to commemorate Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and World Hindi Day. The occasion brought together members of the Indian diaspora and Friends of India to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage and its enduring connection with its global community. Among the distinguished guests, Phani was invited as a Guest Speaker, sharing his unique perspectives and experiences.

The event began with a warm message from the Ambassador of India, Ms. Monika Kapil Mohta, followed by a screening of the documentary Mahatma Gandhi in South Africa, which resonated deeply with the audience. During the World Hindi Day celebration, the Embassy organized a vibrant webinar highlighting the significance of the Hindi language in fostering cultural identity and unity. The video message from the Minister of State for External Affairs, Ms. Meenakashi Lekhi, added a special touch to the occasion.
